The State Winter Games are held in the Traverse City area winter. The center of the
event is at the Grand Traveres Spa and Resort with Skiing Events at Schuss/Shanty Creek resort and Figure
and Speed Skating Events are held at the Howe Arena near Northern Michigan College.
